Vote for Tummies Not Trash!

No, we haven’t gone political! We’re fundraising, and this time around, we are relying on the public vote!
(it’s free, only takes a few minutes, and you vote for 5 projects so you can do a lot of good with your 5 votes!)
City of Edinburgh Council have launched a £100,000 Community Climate fund for projects that help tackle climate change in Edinburgh and surrounding areas. As we are driven by preventing food from going to waste, we have applied for £20,000 towards our zero food waste base.
what we want to use the money for…
Since we got our charitable status, we have been inundated with requests from stores wanting us to collect from them, people offering to volunteer for us, as well as requests from groups and organisations able to use the food. However, as a small team, to ensure that the food is collected, sorted and distributed safely , we need somewhere as a base to operate from.
This would allow us to collect more food, offer more volunteering opportunities and help our partner organisations reach more of their service users.
Most of our work is carried out at night and in the early morning so it would be ideal to have somewhere that, throughout the day, could be used as an educational base.
If you would vote for us, we would really appreciate it
