We believe that food should be eaten, not thrown in the trash.

Food waste is a tragic and often misunderstood problem and for years retailers have attempted to tackle the problem by offering to donate their surplus food to charities who can collect it at the end of the day.

Recognising that many groups don’t have the resources to send staff out to collect, in 2021 we formed a group of volunteers who would pick up surplus food from retailers; and through building a network of partner charities and local community groups, would drop off the food to where it can best be used.

Throughout 2022 we have grown at a phenomenal rate and decided to form Tummies Not Trash so that our volunteers, donors and charity partners can work with us, knowing that their contribution is benefitting their local community.

Tummies Not Trash are always keen to build our partnership network. Whether that be volunteers, charities and local groups that can use the food we collect, or perhaps you are a local retailer who would like us to help save your surplus food.  We would love to hear from you!

Your Support is Essential

Tummies Not Trash are currently fundraising so that at our busiest time, Christmas holidays and throughout the winter season, we can raise enough funds to hire a van so that no good food is left behind.

If you are able to support our efforts, it would be greatly appreciated.
