Proud to be supported by City of Edinburgh Council

In April, we were delighted to be awarded funds from the West Edinburgh neighbourhood network, part of the city of Edinburgh council, in order to provide training materials and support in recruiting more volunteers to help us in our plight to reduce food waste.
We are delighted that a small, very new charity, such as ourselves has got the support of the city of Edinburgh Council and so many local organisations gave us their support in voting for us.
The training materials will cover food safety, health and safety while volunteering, and also an understanding of our organisation policies and procedures. Every volunteer representing Tummies Not Trash gives up their time freely and generously and we want to repay them by providing them with a genuinely brilliant charity to be part of!
If you would like to volunteer, you can do so by filling out our Google form and one of the trustees will be in touch. Alternatively we will be hosting regular volunteer recruitment days, where we will be able to talk you through all of the available roles, of which there are many, ranging from our food saving volunteers, our new team of breakfast club volunteers, social media help, our volunteer support and mentor program, our partnership development team, and many more roles to come! It’s going to be a busy time so if you have any time to support us, we’d be very grateful.
